Ernesto Puga

December 12, 1989 — April 5, 2025

Salt Lake City

Ernesto Puga, beloved son, devoted father, and cherished brother, left this world too soon on April 5, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a tragic incident. Born on December 12, 1989, in Porterville, California, Ernesto lived a life filled with purpose, love, and quiet strength.

Ernesto was smart, resourceful, and endlessly selfless. He did everything for others, never wasting a second of his day. Though quiet by nature, his actions spoke volumes—always showing up for the people he loved and doing everything with passion and care. He carried an immense love for cars, spending countless hours learning, working, and helping others learn the trade. From weekend car shows to moments under the hood, he turned his passion into a meaningful part of his life and legacy.

While his natural talent and keen eye for cars shined brightly, Ernesto’s greatest joy was his children, Marianah (10) and Maurizio (17). Always placing their needs and dreams above all else, he always showered them with love and time. Their favorite memories — nurturing drives, weekends at car shows, and learning how to fix cars together — reflect the deep bond they shared. Ernesto made them feel safe, cherished, and completely understood.

He found happiness in life’s simple but meaningful moments — the peace of mountain trails, the thrill of a good hike, and the joy of time spent with family. He was an amazing father, a loving brother who was always looked up to, a devoted son who shared a special bond fixing cars with his dad, and a loyal friend whose presence brought comfort and love to those lucky enough to be around him.

Ernesto is survived by his children, Maurizio and Marianah; the mothers of his children, Daisy and Vanessa; his parents, Susana and Francisco; and his siblings: Junior, Fernando, Raul, and Angel. He is also survived by four nieces, three nephews, and many extended family members who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A viewing service will be held at City View Memorial in Salt Lake City on April 10, 2025 at 6pm-8pm, offering an opportunity for loved ones to come together and celebrate Ernesto’s life. In his honor, his family and friends will spread his ashes in the mountains — a place where he found peace, clarity, and the serenity he so deeply cherished.
