Ethel LaPreal Jensen McCrary passed peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2007 in her daughter's home in Draper, Utah.
Mother of three, wife of 53 years, she lived honorably and charitably.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene, her children, Kalene, Roger and Kevin, her brother Winston (Bill) and sister Laurel, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
LaPreal's funeral service was held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Corner Canyon 4th Ward in Draper, Utah. Memorial contributions may be made in LaPreal's name to LDS Philanthropies' Temple Patrons' Fund (801-240-5567).
LaPreal was born July 16, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Ruth and Doyle Zimmerman Jensen and grew up in Emmett, Idaho. After high school, she lived in Seattle, Washington, where she met her husband. She lived in Santa Maria, California for 25 years, retiring to Utah in 1992 to be closer to her family. Challenged in her later years by severe health issues, she courageously persevered and enjoyed a long and eventful life. LaPreal was an accomplished pianist and vocalist. She will be missed.
