Ethel W Stanley "Come on Shug.. been waitin for ya..." Our dear mother passed in the early hours of Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Family members were by her side. Born, April 3, 1924 in Tremonton, Utah, to George and Hazel Terese Record. Ethel was always selfless and loving to all of her children. She tried hard to have a good word to hold on to for everyone she knew. For many years she was very active in LDS Relief Society as well as very active in PTA while her children were in school. She was always willing to go above and beyond for both and her children, doing the hard work. She and her husband Bill, were both always willing to help people in need. We never knew when Dad would bring a stranded person or whole "fam-damily" home to stay the night or until Dad could help them on their way And true to who she was, Mom was always right there to put a hot meal in their bellies and a warm bed to sleep in, even if they filled the front room floor. Everyone who came to know our mother saw, this was the soul of a truly beautiful loving woman, mother, sister and friend. We all, will always deeply miss and love you Mom, and those awesome biscuits and potato salad. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Billie L. Stanley, Leslie Howard Means (Son), her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children, Jim Means, Connie Means Patton, (Don), Leila Stanley, and Laura Stanley, and many, many grand children and great grand children. Services for Ethel will be held at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park 17111 South Camp Williams Road Bluffdale,UT on Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00PM and moved to graveside at 2:00PM. Please come join us in honoring our mother.
