BELOVED WIFE. Evangelina Haro, age 69, died at Davis Hospital on Wednesday, February 17, 2009, following a courageous battle with a brain tumor. She was born July 2, 1939, in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to the late Jose Ramirez Vallejo and Juana Collazo. She was united in marriage to her soulmate Alberto Haro on February 10, 1990. Evangelina and her husband were living her golden years of retirement in Hooper, Utah prior to her death. She enjoyed spending time with family and help with church activities, crocheting, and fishing. Evangelina is survived by her husband, Alberto, her daughters, Norma Romero-Villareal, Maria de Lourdes Romero-Valadez, Diana Angelica Romero-Garcia, Yolanda Romero-Salazar, their spouses, her 14 grandchildren, her sister Maria Sacramento Maldonado, and brother Nieves Ramirez, her mother-in-law, Maria Guadalupe Haro, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gustavo Gomez, and sisters, Elida Macias and Raquel Trujillo. Memorial services for Evangelina Haro will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, at Christian Worship Center, 1720 Washington Blvd. Relatives and friends are welcome at a viewing 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established in her name at Zions Bank. We would like to thank the Haro and DeLaTorre family for their help and support.
