Evon B Martinez

Evon B. Martinez (Smith), 55, born January 29, 1960 in Tooele, UT to Bobby G. Smith and Mary P. Santistevan. Passed away May 14, 2015 due to liver failure and pneumonia. Evon was very intelligent and worked as an LPN and an Esthetician. She worked in care centers because of her love for the elderly. She took great pride in providing excellent care for them. She loved spending time with them and providing the extra care they needed by giving them her special hugs, listening and chatting for hours, or sometimes just holding their hand. Evon's quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed; she had a special relationship with all her friends and family. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her and she had a great bond with each and every one of them, spending countless hours and days spoiling them. She loved animals and rescued several pets from the streets to give them a safe place to live. Evon had faced great adversity and many trials in her life, but through it all she remained spiritual knowing that she had angels watching over her. A special thank you to Salt Lake Regional Center ICU and Annette at Symbii Hospice. She is survived by her father and mother, her brother Robert (Kim) Smith, and her two sisters Tonia (Ryan) Aagard, and Cynthia Smith. She is preceded in death by her brother Darren J. Smith. Service will be held at Magna Christian Church, 8697 W. 2700 So., Magna, UT on May 19th at 6:00 pm and dinner to follow. Please add online condolences.
