Floyd L Schofield

Floyd Leon Schofield passed away July 15, 2010 surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer.
Floyd was born March 22, 1941 in Vernal, Utah to Floyd Herbert and Edna Brimhall Schofield. Floyd was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He grew up in the Holladay, Utah area and graduated from Olympus High School in 1959. He attended Dixie College and Weber State, majoring in Biology. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Floyd married Martie Jensen on April 8, 1980. Floyd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Floyd was in the construction industry and worked as a General Contractor. Floyd's main joy in life was his family and the great outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, camping, or just gathering wild mushrooms. Floyd loved gardening and the bounty it provided. He always took time to do the things he enjoyed.
Floyd was loved by many and will be missed by many. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Ashie.
He is survived by his wife Martie, his children; Brian (Amber) Schofield, Laura Deuel, Whitnie (Matt) Rasmussen, eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his brother, Daniel (Betty) Schofield.
