With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Gorski, who left this world on February 15, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on September 9, 1956, in Philadelphia, Gary was the beloved son of Robert and Kathleen. He leaves behind 3 siblings Earl, Kathy and Barbara.
Gary had a remarkable intellect, with an IQ of 163, which was evident in everything he did. His sharp mind, combined with strong discipline, led him to join the Marines in 1975, where he applied both in his service.
Gary met his first wife Ramona and married her in Philadelphia. When she decided to move to Utah, Gary followed her, starting a new chapter of their life. Together they welcomed their daughter, Sara Mae Gorski (Palomino).
After they parted ways, Gary married Debra. While they did not share biological children together, Gary took on the role as a stepfather to her four children: Jason, Jennifer, Lisa, and Kristee. His support and wisdom left a profound impact on their lives.
Gary found joy in the simple pleasures of life—morning walks and breakfast stops at McDonald's with his faithful companion, Ruger, were a treasured part of his daily routine.
As a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Gary was pleased they won the Super Bowl this year.
Above all, Gary’s heart belonged to his grandchildren. Out of the ten, Gary was closest to Kailan, Evan, Sable, and Dante. He truly enjoyed spending time with them, offering support, a listening ear, and sharing lots of laughter. Their bond was special, and he cherished every moment spent together.
Gary is now reunited in spirit with his parents, his youngest sister Kim, and his stepdaughter Lisa, all of whom preceded him in death. Gary's spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he has touched. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all.
Rest in peace, Gary. You were truly one of a kind.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In the words of the late great Gary Gorski,
"I have spoken!"
