Geareld E Davies (Jerry) 66, passed away November 4, 2008 in Salt Lake City of a brain tumor. Jerry was born September 19, 1942 in Price, Utah the son of Charles and Alice Davies. He married his first wife, Linda Kirkwood on November 21, 1964 in Provo, Utah. Together they had three boys. Linda passed away on May 9, 1986. He married Kandace Killpack on December 13, 1986 to which she had three daughters. Together they were called the Davies Bunch. Geareld proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, from 1961 to 1967. Part of his service, he was stationed in Fort Hamilton, New York. He was an accomplished marksman, a missileman and sharpshooter. His time in service provided opportunity to see many parts of the world such as Germany. Geareld found pleasure in working with his hands making wooden models. Building model ships, planes and cars as a hobby. He enjoyed doing things with his family such as fishing hunting and camping. He also loved to decorate his house for Halloween and Christmas. Making up monsters and using lights was like another hobby that he had. He enjoyed watching and playing sports. He tried not to miss any Utah Jazz or BYU games. Geareld is survived by his wife Kandace, his sons, Lance, Weston and Jordan. His brothers, Grant and David. His step-daughters, Sindy, Kathy and Jessica as well as his 21 grandkids. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cresant LDS 12th Ward Chapel (89 East 11000 South, Sandy, UT) with Bishop Todd Fairborn officiating. The family will meet with friends Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in the Cresant 12th Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
