George Louis Renfeldt

George L. Renfeldt, Jr. 1927-2009 husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away November 11, 2009. He was born December 7, 1927 in Santa Ana, CA to George and Maude Renfeldt. He enlisted in the Army-Air Force in November 1945 and served our country during, both, WWII and the Korean war. After being honorably discharged from the military he worked for Douglas Aircraft wiring planes. During this time he was also working toward his degree at Compton College and Fullerton University. After graduation he worked for Bechtel as a quality assurance engineer inspecting nuclear power plants for over 15 years. George served in many positions within the LDS church to include high priest, counselor of the bishopric, scout master, ward clerk, stake clerk, primary teacher, stake genealogy worker, and temple worker. George is survived by his wife Suzanne (Darr) Renfeldt, and sons Daniel C. Lefevre, Robert B. Renfeldt (Deborah), Steven V. Renfeldt (Nancy), David L. Renfeldt (Aniga), Phillip E. Renfeldt (Julie), Allen D. Renfeldt (Jessica), and Richard B. Renfeldt (Lynette), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother , mother, and father. George will always be remembered by his thoughtfulness, big heart, and many talents. The family wishes to thank mom (Suzanne) for her endless care, love and support provided to George. We would also like to thank the staff of Hospice for Utah for the beautiful end of life care provided and the women from A Life's Wish Foundation for assistance in granting some of George's last wishes. Services will be held Saturday November 14th, 2009 at 10:00 am, Hunter 8th Ward LDS Chapel 6400 W. 2820 S. West Valley, Utah. Viewing will be held at 9:00 am.
