Geraldine Rollo Fisher

Geraldine Rollo Fisher died on May 8, 2012. She was born on February 18, 1934 to Morgan and Mary Jane Jones Rollo in Cedar City, Utah. She graduated from Cedar City High School and SUU (CSU) and was an outstanding student. She met Garth Fisher while at CSU and they were married in the St. George Temple in December, 1953. She is survived by her husband, children Charlene (Steve) Pelton, Dr. Randall (Melody) Fisher, Clark (Antonio) Fisher, Karin (Brent) Young and her brother John (Rebekah) Rollo. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie; brother Klien Rollo, and a sister, Leslie (Eugene) Woolf. She has 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Jerry was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions. She was awarded a Silver Beaver for her work in scouting. She loved to travel and saw many areas in the US, Europe, and South Africa. The family moved often during the first 15 years, living in 17 different places. She moved into her present home in 1969 and loved being settled. Jerry had a warm and loving heart. In addition to her family, she also raised four nephews and nieces and a foster daughter. In her later years, she endured many physical challenges including a stroke, cardiac arrest, and chronic pain. Despite all this, she maintained a positive and loving nature. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew her. We would like to thank those who cared for her during the last week, and throughout her physical trials. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 12th at 11:00 am at the Edgemont Sixth Ward chapel located at 4000 N. 650 E. Provo. There will be a viewing at 9:00 am preceding the funeral. Interment at Orem City Cemetery. In leiu of flowers please make donations in her name to Huntsman Cancer Institute or Primary Children's Hospital.
