Glade L Hall

Glade L. Hall passed away August 19, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease in Salt Lake CIty, Utah.  He was born January 24, 1940 in Seattle, Washington to Charles Leness Hall and Addie Lowe Dunkley.  He attended Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor's of Science Degree.  He also received a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington.   He practiced law in Reno, Nevada.  He served his country honorably in the US Marine Corp as a private first-class,  honorably discharged in 1966. 

Glade was a kind and compassionate man.  He was fiercely independent.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa.  

Glade was an avid runner who completed many marathons and shorter races, often winning his age group.  He especially loved running at Virginia Lake in Reno.  Glade loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.  He climbed many mountains including Denali, Mount Aconcagua, and Mt Kilimanjaro.  These comprise the highest mountains of North America, South America, and Africa.  

Glade enjoyed hunting elk in Washington and deer in Nevada and fishing for trout throughout the west but particularly Pyramid Lake, Nevada.  He also loved working in his rock shop and rockhounding around the deserts of Nevada.  

Glade is survived by his sons, H. Douglas (Krista) Hall, Scott L (Anne) Hall and Jeffrey R (Hillary) Hall. Grandchildren; Ezra, Ruby, Carson, Rebecca, Walker, Winston, Margaret. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann (Fowles), wife, Elizabeth Zonneveld (Lafond), grandchildren; Daisy R Hall and Samuel O Hall.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olympus Ward at 4635S Lanark Road , Millcreek, Utah 84124.   He will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, Nevada at a later date.
