10/17/1920 ~ 3/12/2013 Glen A. Flitton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born in Idaho Falls to Parley and Sarah Flitton and lived most of his life in Salt Lake City. The love of his life was his wife Betty. They were married for eternity in the Manti Temple. Glen was known for his honesty, humor, generosity, hard work, and energy. He played his last game of golf at the age of 91. He served as bishop of the Emerson 2nd Ward as well as the Union 22nd Ward. Later in life he worked in the Jordan River Temple with his wife. His influence as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, has left a lasting impression for good. Glen was a veteran of World War II and served in the 13th Armored Division in France and Germany. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty and survived by two children Connie Herron (Calvin) and Gordon Flitton (Candy), 9 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16 th at the Union Park Stake at 7699 South Chad St. (785 East), Midvale, Utah (behind Harmons). A viewing will be held Friday, March 15th at the stake center from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Larkin Cemetery (1950 East 10600 South).
