Vance, attended schools in Payson. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and was tremendously proud of his pioneer heritage. He was an accomplished carpenter and meticulous craftsman. He retired professionally in May of 1993.
Vance fully enjoyed the great outdoors and was a master fisherman. While Vance much loved to socialize and actively engage in countless fun activities, those of us fortunate enough to be in his company, were oftentimes warmly washed over with his peaceful calming magnetic nature. He valued his friendships and was a true pal. He was kind, tolerant and accommodating of others true needs. Vance was also grateful for his many blessings; living in a sacred country with his beloved family, topped his list.
