Gloria Jean Weekes

Gloria Jean Weekes passed from mortality surrounded by her family on December 1, 2007 in Provo, Utah.
Gloria, our treasured wife, mother and grandmother was a gift to our lives. She was born March 18, 1943 in Burley, Idaho to George Oscar Russell and Imogene Lucille Stout. Gloria was married to her loving husband of 42 years on August 20, 1965 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple. Our dear companion, mother & grandmother was our constant cheerleader. Family, her love for music, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ were center to her life. She served faithfully in numerous callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with particular love for her callings as choir director. She donated significant time and energy to many community services and choirs.
She is survived by her husband DeMar Weekes; her children Bret Weekes, Rebecca Cappadonia, Russell Weekes, Marci Taylor, Joshua Weekes, and Benjamin Weekes; her half brothers Matt Pavich and John Pavich.
Funeral services will be held in her honor Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Orem Utah Stonewood Stake Center, 450 S. 100 W., Orem, Utah A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 4, from 6-8 pm at the Stonewood Stake Center and again at 10 A.M. Wednesday December 5, 2007 prior to the service. Interment in the Orem City Cemetery.
