Gordon Ron Tovey

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully November 13, 2007 surrounded by his family following after a long and courageous battle with his health.
He was born in Salt Lake City to Ronald Hart and Lavina Davis Tovey. He graduated from Olympus High. He married Sondra Kaye Harris, later divorced. He also married Constance Harms, later divorced. He was an active member of the LDS Church and chose later in life to go through the Temple. Gordon was a friend to all he came in contact with and was known to always be the first in line when someone else needed help. He was courageous and strong and fought with all his might so that he could spend more time with his family.
He is survived by his sisters Joylyn Bowman and Darlene Thomas, his children Ron Stephens, Debbie (Scott) Seyfert, and Dione (Nate) Jones. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and more friends than we can count. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and two brother-in-laws.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at LDS and IMC hospitals who cared for Gordon, especially the entire Heart Failure Team who became his second family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Jordan View Ward, located at 2320 South 1165 West in West Valley City. A viewing will be held for family and friends at the same location; Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
