Hanny Hille 1931-2009 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Hanny (Johanne) Hermine Been Hille passed away Saturday July 18th in Salt Lake City, Utah after a short but courageous battle with cancer. As an only child, Hanny was born on May 5, 1931 to Gerrit Been and Johanne Drost Been in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In 1950 she immigrated to the United States to be married and sealed to her sweetheart and eternal companion, John Hille Sr. on March 26, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they are the proud parents of two sons and two daughters- Patricia Cracroft, John Hille Jr. (Debby), Lorraine Sparks, (Chuck) and Albert Hille (Rachelle). Hanny was an active member of the LDS Church Fairmont Ward where she held numerous callings and faithfully supported her husband when he served as Bishop. Together they proudly served two missions in the Netherlands. Hanny enjoyed reading, crocheting, tennis, swimming, traveling and being with her family. She especially loved special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed a Dutch Fireside Group that she was a part of for over 50 years. We will affectionately remember our wife and mother for her love of family, service to others, and generosity. We will miss her deeply. Hanny is survived by her loving husband John, four children, 16 Grand-children and 8 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by both parents, son-in-law V.
