Harry Gene Yiatras

Harry Yiatras, loving husband, Father and grandfather, passed away on December 9th, 2010 at home of Pulmonary Fibrosis, with his family by his side. Harry was born on December 12,1937 in Rock River, Wyoming to Thomas and Josephine Yiatras. He lived in Remmer, Wyoming most of his youth, then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah after serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for Kennecott for many years until he was hurt on the job and became disabled. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert, sisters Tony and Cathy. He is survived by his wife Linda Smith Yiatras, sons Troy and Rodney Yiatras, step daughters Shauna Somerville and Tamara Richards, His brother Tom Yiatras, sister Helen Yiatras, His grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We thank Rocky Mountain Hospice, specifically Burnedett, Cherill, Josh, and Todd Sidwell(Chaplain) for their tender care. Harry's wishes were to be cremated with no services. An informal celebration of Harry's Life will be held at the family home at 2250 South 1800 East, SLC on Wednesday December 15th from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
