Harvey "Roy" LeRoy Shepherd

Harvey LeRoy Shepherd passed away on October 22, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his family. Roy was born February 19, 1934 to Leon and Alice Smith Shepherd, in Thistle, Utah. Roy had two brothers, Moses Hyrum Shepherd, Melvin Lee Shepherd and one sister Alice Virginia Shepherd. Roy married Dorotha Marie Baker, January 16, 1959. Roy was a hard working man and supported his family working for the school district and Geneva Steel, where he retired from. Roy loved drawing, pottery, art, fishing, rock hounding and outdoor hikes with the kids.He was a fantastic cook and artist and had a great sense of humor. He adored and loved his wife. He was a devoted family man and loved his wife and children more than anything in this world. Roy and Dorotha were married 52 years. Together they had six children, David(Sue) Shepherd, Alice (Duhwayne)Crandall, Robert (Annabell) Shepherd, Larry(Jackie) Shepherd, Garry (Kimberly)Shepherd and William Shepherd. Roy is survived by three children, 22 granchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his sister Alice, his brother Clyde, his two sons David and Larry and one grandson Fernando. Services will be at the LDS Church 1120 NOrth 850 West, Provo, Utah at 12:00pm. Viewing will be one hour prior from 11am-12pm.Interment will be at Evergreen cemetary in springville Utah from 1-2pm just off Highway 89 at 1997 South 400 East.
