Helen Florabelle Hall

Helen "Florabelle" Parr Hall, 81, of American Fork, was called home to join her sweetheart, Gayle Gilbert Hall on Sunday, March 29, 2009. She was born on August 9, 1927 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Bud Reed Parr and Lena Isabell Bybee Parr. Florabelle was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School in Texas and Pocatello High, Pocatello, Idaho, in 1946. Florabelle met Gayle at her work in Montgomery Wards in Pocatello. Gayle left to serve in the Air Force toward the end of World War II. They were married in Wichita, Falls, Texas on September 5, 1945. They were sealed a year later in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married for 62 wonderful years. They were a great example of love and devotion for their whole family.
Florabelle loved to sew, knit, tap dance, yodel, do family history and scrapbooking, do clock repair and upholster her own furniture among many other talents. Florabelle joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age 14 and was an active member serving in many callings through the years. She served as a ward music director and Stake Primary president. She and Gayle loved their call as coordinators in the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. The service that gave them such great joy was their call as workers in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Gayle and Florabelle had beautiful singing voices and often sang at funerals and other church gatherings.
Florabelle is survived by their 5 children, Karen Lynne Hall Holmes (Gaylen), Kenneth Gayle Hall (RobbaLee), Robert Warren Hall, Rebecca Lee Hall Brand (Danny) and Lisa Kaye Hall Moore (Timm). Gayle and Florabelle were the very proud grandparents of Kevin Hall Hayes, Melissa Lena Hayes, Cydne Rebecca Bartley (Rob), Jared Hall, Thelesa Hall Place (Kawika), Tristalene Hall Morgensen (Eric), Justin Hall (Stephanie), Joel Hall (Jen), Andrew Hall, Jennifer Hall, Brittney Rose Brand Day (Duane) Jarom Gayle Brand (Hilaree), Danika Jane Brand Pope (John), Katelyn Rebecca Brand Arrant (Colton), Aubrey Florabelle Brand, Hannah Lee Brand, Brooklyn Danielle Brand, Dallin Hall Brand, Taylor Gordon Brand and Alexander Timothy Moore She is also survived by her brother, Doren Odell Parr (June) and her 2 brothers-in-law, Darwin Hall (Lois) and Z. Rodger Hall (MaeDean).
The viewing will be held in the American Fork 12th Ward building in American Fork, Utah, 673 E. 300 N. on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 9:00 am. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment at American Fork City Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.serenicare.com.
