Helen Marin

Helen Marjorie Marin died November 18, 2008 in Salt Lake City. She was born August 31, 1927 in Altoona, PA to Austin B. Wilkins and Florence C. Reed, and graduated from Altoona High School in 1945. She moved to Reno, NV and married Steve John Marin on July 5, 1962. They had a daughter, Stephanie and lived in Sparks, NV. After working for several companies in Reno, she was an accountant for the Roman Catholic Bishop of Reno for 19 years. She retired from the Diocese in 1992. She moved to Salt Lake City in 2003 and lived at Christus St. Joseph's Villa. She enjoyed attending mass and rosary every day, and going to the crafts classes. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie, son-in-law, Shaughn Ziech and her beloved granddaughter Jessica Ziech all of Salt Lake City, a sister, Shirley Bollinger of Reno, NV, nieces and nephews, and her mother Florence Smith of Altoona, PA. Her husband Steve died in 1977. A memorial mass will be held in the chapel at Christus St. Joseph's Villa on Tuesday, November 25 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Our Mother of Sorrows cemetery in Reno.
