Our angel wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on June 23, 2006 in Mapleton, Utah at the age of 90.
Helen was born November 9, 1915, in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Matthew Mays Heiny and Lulu Eliza Lichty. She graduated from Haxtun High School in 1933 as the class valedictorian and was then able to complete one year at the University of Colorado. Helen married Uriel Boyd Todd on October 2, 1939 in the Salt lake Temple. She worked as a secretary for the Selective Service office for many years in St. George and Price, Utah. Helen was devoted to her family, music, quilting, and her church. Over the course of Helen's life, she made and donated thousands of quilts that brought comfort and joy to people all over the world.
Helen leaves behind her husband Uriel and loving children: Barton (Pam) Todd, Laurelle (Alex) Rollo, Clark (Pat) Todd, Conrad (Peggy) Todd, Brian (Kathie) Todd and brother Wendall as well as 24 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Bruce Todd (Lola), parents and two brothers; Virgil and Lowell.
Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Mapleton Stake Center located at 970 North 400 East in Mapleton at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery following the services.
