Hester Amelia Metge

Hester Amelia Ness Metge passed away December 23, 2007 in Orem, Utah. She was born May 30, 1916 in St. James, Minnesota to Henry and Agnes Ness both of Norwegian decent.
Hester married Norman Limer and was later divorced. She later married Hugh Murdoch and he passed away. Later she married Bill Metge and was sealed to him in the Provo, Utah Temple. Hester was a nurse for 27 years and loved her work. She was the best at caring for others. She served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Chicago Temple and two missions at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She lived in Canada for 87 years "Welcome Home Mom". She loved to cook, sew, paint, quilt and help everyone. She traveled widely and loved her children, grandchildren (18) and great grandchildren (22).
She is survived by her children: Derek (Jackie) Limer of England, Beverley (Hank) McIntire of Orem, Utah, John Limer (deceased), Ron Limer of British Columbia, her grandchildren: Lisa (John) Anderson, Paula (Jason) Ames, Jase (Amberley) Denney, Anne (Nate) Young, John (Serenity) Denney, Kick (Jamie) Denney, Brad Denney, Tanner Denney, Talley McIntire, Sarah (Rob) Addy, Rachel (Steve) Welch, Carolyn Limer Welch, John Limer, Dan Limer, Ashley Limer, Evan Limer, Sophie Limer, Crystal Bishop. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and son John.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29 at 11:00am at the Sharon Park 7th Ward chapel, 100 East 700 North in Orem. A viewing will be held on hour prior at the same location. Interment at Orem City Cemetery.
