Hildegard Katharina Ahlstrom passed away on March 17, 2013. She was born on August 22, 1933 to Otto and Afra Mannes in Augsburg Germany. Hildegard married Kurt Dobmann on May 17, 1952 and together they had 10 children. They later divorced and Hildegard moved to Utah. She married Charles H. Ahlstrom in the Provo Utah Temple on April 27, 1984. Hildegard was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved to serve. She loved music, especially playing her German Instrument the "Zither" and performed for a time in the Salzburg Folk Ensemble. Hildegard also loved to laugh and read and hear funny stories. She loved to do her German puzzles and she LOVED all German food. She always had some German Chocolate on hand to share for anyone who came to her house. Hildegard is preceded in death by her husband, children George, Nikolaus, Herbert and one great grandchild, Ronja. She is survived by her children Gerhard (Renate) of Germany, Ursula of Germany, Hans-Peter (Angelika) of Germany, Norbert of Germany, Andreas (Susan) of American Fork UT, Stephanie of Taylorsville UT and Christine (Ted) of Winnemucca NV and grand children Sandra, Sasha, Michael, Samantha, Ty and Stephen. Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Meadowbrook 2nd Ward, 1250W. Atherton Drive Murray, Utah There will be a viewing from 11:30 am-12:30am prior to the service.
