Hope Faith Fulkerson passed away peacefully from Life on May 25, 2011. She spent her last days surrounded by family and friends and died in her home in Elk Ridge, Utah, after experiencing a stroke on March 30, 2011.
Hope Faith Mitchell was born on February 29, 1920 (a Leap Year baby); in Navajoa, Sonora, Mexico; to Jerome D. Mitchell and Josephine Lemon. She and her family came to the United States and she and her siblings were raised in Arizona.
Hope married Jess R. Bird in 1935; they had two children (Robert E. and Margaret M.). Later they were divorced. In June 1945, Hope married Roy James Fulkerson and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles, CA, Temple, for Time and all Eternity. They had two children; Roy James, Jr. (died as an infant) and Janice H.
She and Roy enjoyed their lives together; camping and fishing became their favorite pastime. Roy passed away in July, 1982. Hope later married Milt R. Littlefield, who died in April, 1997; after which she returned home to the house she and Roy built, where she lived out her later years.
This dedicated lady spent her life in service to her family, friends and her Father in Heaven. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and served a Temple mission with her late husband, Roy, at the London, England Temple. Hope also loved her years of service as a Temple worker in the Provo, UT Temple.
Hope was preceded in death by her husband, Roy James Fulkerson, and her baby boy, R.J. Fulkerson, Jr. ("Little Roy"). She is survived by her three children: Robert E. Fulkerson, Margie M. Cook and Janice H. Davis; her 11 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great-great Grandsons.
She was and will always be a beautiful and beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend... most of all; she never forgot that she is a lovely Daughter of God. She has gone home.
