After a long and happy life, Howard passed away May 12, 2012. He was born on September 12, 1929 to Fredrick and Adele Bird Nelson in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest of six children and is preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Nelson, Frank Nelson and Stan Nelson and one sister, Marjorie Chambers and his daughter-in-law Brenda Nelson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Zundel Nelson, of 56 years, his four children Kelly (Anna) Nelson, Christine (Brian) Brimhall, Darrin (Susie) Nelson and Sean Nelson, 12 grandchildren, his sister Helene Neff and sister-in-law Ila Nelson.
Howard taught many people the value of hard work and unconditional love. He was a drywall contractor for over 50 years. He will be greatly missed here on earth, but we know he is enjoying a grand reunion with loved ones in heaven.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17th, at the Holladay 18th Ward building on 2625 Milo Way (4910 So.), Holladay, Utah 84117 at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive.
