Ica Joan Sorensen Harrison

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother has returned home to her heavenly father. She was meet with opened arms by her loved ones who have passed before her. Mom has returned to mother her two sons Scott & Troy, who have been waiting patiently for her.
Joan was born to Ivan & Tanetta Sorensen on September 29, 1938 in Delta Utah. Joan is the youngest of three sisters. Joan was a Graduate of Delta High School, she attend Hollywood Beauty College on a scholarship. Joan was a beautician at ZCMI for many years. Joan was encouraged to go on a blind date where she meet her the love of her life. Joan & Audy Harrison were married on May 14th 1959. They had five children and on May 16th 1977 they were sealed together as a family in the Salt Lake Temple.
Mom was a very artistic, and loved working as a florist and wedding coordinator. Joan had a huge interest in her Native American Heritage. One of Mom's greats joys were the accomplishments of her Grandchildren. Mom loved spending time with her Grandchildren.
Survived by Husband Audy L Harrison, Children: Tanya (Tom) Wright, Delta UT, Anita Brown, Sandy, Sean Harrison, Carlsbad NM; eleven Grandchildren & one Great Grandson; Sisters: Barbara Christensen, Elaine Renstrom. Proceeded in death by her parents, and by sons Scott & Troy.
A combined memorial Service will be held Tuesday December 9th 2008 at the Sandy Hillcrest Stake Center 8485 So. 10th East at 11:00 A.M., for Joan and Troy who passed away suddenly during mom's illness.
