Our "unique", generous mother passed away September 10, 2009. Born July 23, 1921 to Clyde H. Peck and Dessie Guest Peck. Married Ferris W. Jarvis September 4, 1941. He died August 14, 1964.
Mom owned and operated Roper Café©, worked at Hotel Utah, and Little America. Mom loved traveling the world with her sister, Afton. She was passionate about all news and following politics. She enjoyed gardening, skiing, golfing, bowling, the Jazz, and a good laugh.
Mom is survived by all her children: Ferris Brent (Josie) Jarvis, Becky (David) Hogue, DeEtte (Byron) Gunderson, Brian Jarvis, Laurie (Ed) Williams, MaryAnn (Mark) Anderson, Tyler Jarvis; One sister, Maureen (Karl) Badger, and sister-in-law, Goldie (Hal) Peacock; 19 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
Mom requested a modest memorial service. `A tribute, visitation, and brunch will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 11:30 AM at the Golden Meadows Ward, 13400 South 2700 West, Riverton, Utah. After which the interment will be at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Murray, next to our daddy.
In honor of mom's generous spirit our family has made contributions to the MS Society and the Utah Chapter of the Lupus Foundation. Our thanks to all those who cared for and loved our mother.
