Wayne suffered a stroke 12 years ago and it narrowed the things he enjoyed doing to things close to home like walking around the football field across from his house, adding new features to his deck, painting whatever he could paint, playing solitaire on his computer and watching TV. He enjoyed tennis but his favorite thing to do was to watch everything John Wayne. One of his favorite John Wayne quotes was “Life is tough, but it’s tougher if you’re stupid.”
Wayne has been cremated and will be buried with his loving wife Shiny once he is returned to Trinidad, Colorado. (Date and time have yet to be determined)
