Jackie Lynn Adams

On September 26, 2009 Jackie Adams, my best friend, our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandma, and friend peacefully passed away at home from complications of liver disease. Jackie was born on June 22, 1943 to Herbert and Edna Bowthorpe. She is one of six children. Her parents, brother Bill and sister Laurel Ann preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 brothers: Ben, Bob and Jim, as well as her husband John, son Mark and daughter Michelle and their families including 3 super charged grandsons, Nick, Noah and Landon. Jackie grew up in Holladay Utah and graduated from Olympus High School. She was very successful in business including real estate in her early career. She relocated with her job, enjoying new experiences and places and eventually moved back to SLC in 1993. Jackie was very inquisitive getting to know many people on her journey here. She touched us all with her dry sense of humor and strength. She loved going on cruises. She loved golfing and gambling making many weekend trips to Wendover. Most of all she loved her family. She was a part of our lives with her every breath. Her humor, strength and love for her family will be with us forever. She demonstrated impeccable strength with her fight for life. We wish we had more time with her but we are so thankful for the time we had. I am who I am because of my mom and through her strength I will live life to the fullest. Remember laughter is the best medicine. We want to send much love and thanks to all of those who helped in the end and throughout her life, especially her husband John and Sister in law Barbara. With all my heart, THANK YOU! Please join us in a celebration of her life. It will be held at the home of Craig Ramon 10016 South Stone Mountain Lane (3325 East) 801-943-5691, or 801-631-2316 on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.
