James Robert Knipe

James Robert Knipe, loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather passed away February 10, 2009. His family was with him as he passed into his Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Born March 24, 1926 to Charles D. and Ina Hunter Knipe in Los Angeles, Ca. He married Joyce Steadman in 1952, his loving wife of 56 years. He worked for Geneva Steel for 31 years. He is survived by his wife, four children, Jami (Scott) Selman, Shawna M. Knipe, James Knipe, Johanna (Steven) Carter, 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Mari Jo, both parents and three brothers. A special thanks to the nurses, doctors and social workers of UVRMC on the 5th floor, especially Doug Huff and also the Hospice group on the 7th floor. Memorial services are planned for a later date.
