James Edward Malbon, 30, of West Jordan, Utah. Our wonderful James was taken from us on May 8, 2010 while riding his bullet bike on a beautiful Saturday afternoon up Big Cottonwood Canyon. James was born on October 26, 1979 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Shawn Malbon and Patricia Phelps. James played hockey in his youth and as a young adult, worked for Cook Brothers, the Iron Workers Local 27, and in 2003, became an electrician starting with T & C Electric and then Schooley Electric in 2008. James loved life, camping, fly fishing, a good burger with a cold beer, and riding his bullet bike. James was passionate about everything he did. He was a loyal friend who was always there when needed. James was a genuine, smart, loving, hard-working man with a great sense of humor. He touched the lives of more than he will ever know and will be greatly missed. He is survived by mother, Pat; step-father, Dudley; step-mother, Sandra; sister, Kai; brother, Richard; and girlfriend of 11 years, Cora. James was preceded in death by his father, Shawn.
