James "Jimmy" A. Warner Matheos, age 48, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday June 6, 2007 after a three month battle with cancer. Jimmy was born July 23, 1958 in Rochester, New York to Shirley Ann Perry and Louie Matheos, later he was adopted by his "daddy" Harold Warner. He married Angie Manard and later divorced. Jimmy married the love of his life Sherry Getsinger Matheos on August 15, 2000.
Jimmy worked at J & M's Transmissions for thirteen years doing R&R. Jimmy could take out nine transmissions a day and loved every minute of it. Two years ago he started his own business, Utah Valley Seal Coating and Striping. Jimmy's greatest passion was old cars. He loved rebuilding and restoring them. He would take a car completely apart just to put it back together again.
Jimmy's family meant everything to him. His children were the light of his life (including Max and Harley). In daddy's eyes his children were angels and could do no wrong. Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a great friend.
Jimmy is survived by his very loving wife, Sherry Matheos, his sons, Mark and JC, his daughters, Elizabeth and Brittanie, One grandchild, Miriah, sisters, Mary Ingram and Cindy Brown, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy whom he loved very much; she was much like a mother to him, his mother and fathers, and his grandparents.
