Janet Terry Head

Janet Terry Head passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the age of 63. She was born on May 9, 1949 in Provo, UT to Edna May Glover and Elmer Terry. She was the youngest of four children and spent the majority of her youth in Provo. After attending BYU for a few years and working as a secretary, she served an LDS mission to England. While serving a mission, she met her future husband, Ian Head. On September 7, 1979, she married Ian in the Provo, UT LDS temple. Janet was talented at needle point and loved to give away the many different pieces that she made. Her life was a life of service and she had spent many years serving in various callings in her church, including primary presidency, relief society president, and most recently gospel doctrine teacher. The most important thing in her life was her family and she loved to serve and spend time with them. Janet was very compassionate and always had kind things to say about others. She had a strong testimony of the gospel her entire life and her faith never wavered. She will be sorely missed by her loved ones and those she associated with. She is survived by her husband, Ian; her three children: Richard (Melissa), David, and Sarah (Noah); grandchildren Dagny, Sunny, and Magdalene; a brother Robert Terry (Mary Ellen); and sister Carolyn Faux (Gene). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Kearns 10th Ward building, located at 5025 W. 4865 S. Kearns, UT. A viewing will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday preceding the funeral services. Interment - East Lawn Memorial Hills in Provo.
