Jean Margaret Empey

February 1, 2009, Jean Margaret Empey, 75, of Payson, Utah returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father from natural causes. She passed away at the Payson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her daughter by her side.
She was born in East Syracuse, New York, on August 27, 1933 to George and Margaret Ranger. She was married on August 9, 1952 in East Syracuse, New York. She had two daughters, Bonnie and Susan
She moved to Utah in June of 1980 with her husband and youngest daughter. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints and was baptized in 1977.
She enjoyed crocheting, watching TV, going for rides and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her eldest daughter Bonnie Alfaro of Payson, Utah, as well as five grandchildren, Richard Empey, 23, Jacqueline Alfaro, 21, Samantha Alfaro, 20, Isaiah Alfaro, 17 and Joshua Alfaro, 10 all of Payson, Utah.
She also had two adopted grandsons, Lyman Frandson, 20, of West Valley and Travis Harwood, 21, of Payson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, two sisters, as well as her youngest daughter Susan.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Payson Stake Center, 780 West 500 South.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM with a viewing at 9:30 AM at the same location. Interment at Provo City Cemetery.
