Jeanette Ann Jones, 61, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 surrounded by her family.
She was born July 26, 1946 in Provo, Utah to Louise and Alma Larsen. She was raised in Myton, Utah, but has made her home in Orem, Utah for the past 22 years.
She married Ira Leroy Jones on June 19, 1965. Together they had two children, James and Stephanie. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends.
Jeanette was a loving and compassionate person. She was always surrounded by children; "Jonesy" was never short of giving love... or treats. She always thought of others first and enjoyed making cards for "shut ins" or someone who needed cheering up. She was an avid reader and had a large collection of books. A lot of her enjoyment came from writing and receiving letters from her many pen pals from around the world.
Jeanette is survived by her son, James (Erika) Jones of Orem, Utah. Daughter; Stephanie (Aaron) Fawson of Spanish Fork, Utah. Grandchildren; Robert Hartley, Cecily and Kellie Fawson, Jestia Guerra, Jaimie and Joshua Curtis. Great-grandchildren; Annika and Nicholas Guerra. Her brother Bill (Pat) Larsen of Glendale, AZ and sisters Pat Buck of Norwood, CO and Barbara (Doug) Sanders, Connie Hardy both of Orem, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Louise Larsen.
Funeral services will be held August 17, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the Geneva Heights 2nd Ward, 590 North 900 West. The viewing will be one hour prior at the same location. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeanette's name to the Serenicare Funeral Home, 12278 South Lone Peak Parkway #103, Draper, Utah 84020.
