Jeanine Afton Whiting Olds

Our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Jeanine Afton Olds slipped away into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Jeanine was born in Lake Shore, Utah, to Leonard Calton Whiting and Bessie Afton Evans on December 27, 1933. On January 18, 1949, in Cedar City, Utah, she married the love of her life, Dewey Connell Olds, who has proceeded her in death. Although she hardly worked outside the home, Jeanine worked the most valiant job as a homemaker and mother to her six wonderful children: DiAnne Olds Gordon, Lorrie Butler, Bill Olds, Candus Anderson, Gerry Michael Olds and Connie Ann Olds. In life, Jeanine had many passions, some of which included crochet, singing, needle work, reading, making things and serving others. Jeanine is survived by her children DiAnne Gordon, Lorrie Butler, Bill Olds, and Candus Anderson; brothers Gerry Whiting and Mike Whiting and her sister, Jackie Heins. She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Dewey, parents Leonard and Bessie Whiting, and beloved children Gerry Michael Olds and Connie Ann Olds. A viewing will be held the evening of Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Provo 1st Ward Chapel located at: 195 South 100 East, Provo, Utah, with funeral services the following day, Friday, February 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Friends and family may call at a viewing prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
