Jeri Whipple

Jerilyn Whipple passed away on March 2, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah from complications following a stroke. She and her husband, Howard had recently moved to Tooele, Utah. She was born on May 21, 1957 in Yuma, Az and moved to Cortez Co as a teenager. 'Jeri' had overcome a terrible tragedy when, at 17 yrs. old, she fell 116 feet off a cliff while rock climbing with her husband in Bluff, Ut. She was a walking miracle. Spending only 17 days in an Albuquerque hospital, where she not only surprised her Doctors, but made lifelong friends with them, too. Jeri made friends wherever she went. She had an uncanny way of knowing just who might need her heartfelt smile and an understanding shoulder, she made lots of 'brand new' friends like that! Jeri loved to dance! Especially waltz. She loved music, people, rodeo, reading, crocheting, a good marguirita, the outdoors and her various animals. But, mostly, she loved her family. Her three sons were the world to her, and they, along with her husband and parents, were able to be by her side throughout her couragous fight to live. Jeri is survived by her loving husband and best friend Howard Whipple of Tooele, sons Heath, Hank (Melissa), and Allen Whipple, three grandaughters Avery, Kaden and Kenzi Lyn ( due any day!) Whipple, her parents Bob & Vonnie Mueller of Mexican Hat, Ut, siblings Jay Mueller & Joy (Clint) Howell, and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held on Sunday, March 11,2007 at 2PM at the American Legion Hall in Cortez, Colorado for all of Jeri's family and many friends to celebrate the life of a lovely lady, who is cherished and loved beyond words. She will be missed, but, she won't be missing a thing.
