Jesse Gavino Lopez, 58 passed away peacefully at his home July 9, 2006 from Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was born October 25, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jesse I. and Carmen M. Macias Lopez. Jesse spent his childhood in old Bingham Canyon. He graduated from Bingham High School. From there he served two terms in Vietnam and returned a highly decorated veteran.
Jesse was a noble loving man who lived his life to the fullest. He loved to be outdoors. He loved to go on motorcycle trips camping and fishing. He will be missed greatly by ALL that knew him.
Jesse is survived by the love of his life MaryEllen Lopez, daughters Angeline Lopez, Julia (Mike) Hamberlin, Gina Lloyd, Jillian Rowley, sons Joshua (Aleca) Lopez, Travis Lopez, Jacob Lopez, Christopher Rowley, sisters Carol (Leroy) Gibson, Pat (Roger) Taylor, Cathy Lopez, brother Philip (Kathy) Lopez, nine grandchildren who were the light of his life, seven nieces, nephews, aunt Lola (Fausto) Rivas, uncle Joe (Hope) Jimenez and numerous friends he loved dearly. Also Keno the cat. Preceded in death by his parents, his twin granddaughters and sister in law SaraLou.
A heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Rocky Mountain Hospice and the doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Also to the many friends and family who made Jesse's last days very special.
Graveside services will be held at the West Jordan City Cemetery 12 noon, Sunday, July 16, 2006. A celebration of Jesse's life will follow at Burt's Place 3684 West 5400 South.
Remember, what appears to be "Good-Bye" is really only "Until We Meet Again".
