Joe Robert Davis, father, brother, husband, friend and uncle, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home in Heber City, UT. He was born November 12, 1944 in Heber City, UT to William Bert Davis and Marjorie Archibald. Joe enlisted with the 173rd Army Airborne Division and served his country in Vietnam from 1965 - 1967. Joe loved his family more than anything. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. In his younger days, he was an amazing athlete, excelling in baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; bowling, hunting and fishing. He loved taking walks and enjoying nature and he considered everyone his friend. He loved taking vacations and his favorite was Hawaii. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Randy, three sons; two daughters, grandchildren, sister, LaDene Atkinson and brother, Bert (Donna) Davis both from Kamas, sister-in-law, Karen Davis, Heber. He will be missed by family, friends, nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glen, sister, Shirley Kirkham Sproule and brother, William Richard "Dick" Davis, beloved brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at noon at the 3rd/7th Ward L.D.S. Meeting house at 240 E 400 S in Heber City, UT. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to services.
