“The King of Fun”
Born January 11, 1957 to parents Delbert and Betty (Stephenson) Archer. He grew up in Twin Falls Idaho with siblings Archie, Valera, Robin, Chuck and Georgia. He was a wild child, with fire in his boots, born to dance to the beat of his own drum. His Ironclad-Will and Fearlessness led him to life of abundance. He was a Conductor Engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. The stories were epic, his friendships were lifelong and he loved what he did. He married Carrie Anderson in 1978 and had two beautiful boys, Shawn and Jaydee. John was the neighborhood favorite, a second dad to many and their boys grew up learning so many important lessons. He lived a life of ultimate adventure and provided Jaydee and Shawn with the best example of what a father is. He is their Hero, and they were his Pride and Joy. He met Charlotte, the love of his life in 1995 and they together created the most beautiful and fulfilling chapters together, as his family was then whole. Tracey stole John’s heart and gave him the joy of having a daughter. His ability to create unique and special relationships in his life was extremely natural. He lived life to the fullest and was good at everything he tried- except being able to say aluminum. He enjoyed leather coats, pickled eggs, going fast, Budlight, hideous sweaters and his Elvis jewelry. China has lost out on a dedicated customer. He tried for a 10 but could only be a 9.5 with the best thumbs up. He would never want any of us to end without a laugh so think of 1 of the 100 ways he made you happy. He was candid, boisterous and his crazy is going to be missed by all. He was way too young to catch the fast train to heaven. It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our Johnny. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, from natural causes, on February 17, 2024. His legacy will never be forgotten.
Cowabunga Dude.
