John Lee Perry

John Lee Timothy Perry 1939 - 2008 John Lee Perry passed away peacefully December 22, 2008, from diabetes complications. He was born February 3, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Arthur John Perry and Lila Lenore Longtin.
John was raised in Washington State and received his Bachelors degree from University of Washington. John served an LDS mission in the Great Lakes area. After his mission, John worked for Boeing. Throughout his life, John worked in various other capacities, including shake mill laborer, taxi driver, service station manager, ambulance driver and paralegal. John was best-known for his creative cooking, his passion for reading and learning, his love of the outdoors, laughter, music and dancing, technology and great conversation.
John is survived by his children (children of Clara Dilworth Perry), David Perry (Federal Way, WA), Michael (Laura) Perry (Brentwood, CA), Jennifer (Lyman) Owens (St. George, UT), Ann (Kenny) Ross (Orem, UT), Christina Perry (Colorado Springs, CO) and Charla (Kelly) Richins (Kearns, UT); step children, Misty and Julie (daughters of Connie Lundgren); eleven grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Campbell, Susan Jones, Judy Whitely and Nancy Shiozawa. John was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Connie.
A special thanks to the staff of Rock Canyon Care Facility for their attentive care. Friends and family may visit with the family at a memorial service to be held Saturday, January 3, 2008, 11:00 am at the Sun Ridge Ward building, 5422 South Sarah Jane Drive, Kearns, UT 84118.
