Jordan Dale James

Jordan Dale James passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009, in his family's home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, after courageously battling cancer. He was born on April 17, 1987 in Provo, Utah. Jordan was a very energetic and creative child. He loved to share his creativity with others. He had a deep bass voice and was a good singer. He had a dry sense of humor and a laid-back personality. He was a righteous influence in his family and set a good example to his younger siblings. He attended Southern Virginia University (SVU) for one year and wanted to go into creative writing and filmmaking. Jordan served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Tallahassee Florida mission. During that time, he developed a greater love for his Savior and the people he served. He developed the website www.fightforright.net. He explored writing poetry and short stories. He went to SVU one more semester, majoring in English, before he became very ill. Jordan was diagnosed with adrenal cortical cancer in February 2009. He always maintained a positive attitude and had faith that he would be healed. However, it was not God's will that he be healed in this life. Jordan has moved on to the next life to continue his mission of sharing his faith and creativity. He will enjoy Eternal healing at the Day of Resurrection. Survived by his parents, Ken and Melissa James, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and siblings Mariah, Katrina, Nathaniel, Isaac, and Charlotte; grandparents, Dale & Krista Froelich, of Murray, Utah and George & Della James, of Bakersfield, California; great grandmother, Alma James, of San Jose, California. Viewings will be held Oct. 20, 6-8 PM and Oct. 21, 10 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6300 S. 300 E. Murray, Utah, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow the funeral at the Murray City Cemetery.
