Jose Mena

Jose Mena, 82, died August 18, 2007 in West Jordan, Utah after a lengthy battle with heart disease and diabetes.
He was born October 10, 1924 in Oriente, Cuba to Franciso and Maria Mena the 10th of 13 children. Jose married Regli Jorge on October 27, 1956 and they were the parents of two sons. In 1969 the family moved to Takoma Park, Maryland, and later to Glendale, California. In 1987 Jose and Regli moved to Provo, Utah where they retired. Regli passed away August 18, 1999. For 2 ½ years Jose lived with his son Jorge Mena in Idaho Falls, Idaho. For the past 8 months he was in South Jordan, Utah with his son Rafael.
He is survived by a daughter, Marta Rodriguez in Havana, Cuba, a son Jorge (Kristin) Mena in Idaho Falls, and son Rafael (Brenda) Mena in South Jordan, Utah, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 9:00am at LDS Chapel 8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
