Joseph Bruce Davidson

J. Bruce Davidson, passed away on June 16th, 2012 in St. George, UT. Bruce was born on January 14, 1933 to Joseph Donald Davidson and Georgia H. Davidson. Bruce attended Logan City Schools and graduated from Utah State University in 1957 with a degree in Psychology. He served in the US. Army being stationed in Germany for the majority of his service. Bruce married Deanna Gayle Morley on August 17, 1959 in Elko, NV. They had three children, Stacy Davidson Smith, Patti Falor (Rick), Gayle Wolford (Jay), and Thomas B. Davidson (Pauline). Bruce enjoyed the outdoors spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for the game of golf and loved playing with his wife Deanna and his many friends at Logan Golf and CC, and Birch Creek. He enjoyed fishing the many lakes and rivers of Northern Utah, Wyoming, and Southern Idaho. Bruce grew up helping his father Don work the family farm. He left the farm to work for Wilson Motor Company for several years. He then went to work for the Utah Employment Office (Job Service) retiring after 23 years of service to the people of Utah. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Deanna Morley Davidson of St. George, a sister Ann of Logan, daughters Stacy Davidson Smith; Patti Falor (Rick), both of St. George, a daughter Gayle Wolford (Jay) of Las Vegas, NV, and son Thomas B. Davidson (Pauline) of Hayden, ID; fourteen grand children, and 8 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Donald and Georgia H. Davidson; and his older brother Owen. The family would like to express tremendous gratitude for the selfless care and special attention given by Pauline, Cathy, and Dee of Dixie Hospice, and the kind and compassionate folks at Serenicare of St .George and Providence. The Family will meet with friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 20th, from 6 to 8pm at the Logan 2nd Ward LDS Church, 89 South 300 West in Logan. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21st, at the Logan 2nd Ward LDS Church, beginning with a short viewing from 10:00am to 10:45am with services starting at 11:00am. Military honors and graveside services will follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
