Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Judith Marie Rossiter, 69, passed away peacefully May 18, 2008 in St. George, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 16, 1938 in Gary, Indiana to Albert Alexander and Grace Roush Mosak. She married Robert Rossiter on June 7, 1970 to whom she was sealed in the St. George LDS Temple on May 3, 2008.
Judith served in the U. S. Navy from 1956 to 1957 and then enjoyed her career as a nanny and cook. She loved to write poetry and helping those in need. She was named Mother of the Year in Houston, Texas, she was an advocate for battered women and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
She is survived by her children Joy (Dale) Chavez, Carolynn (Peter) Williams, Billie Jo Mattson, Amy Rangel and Chris (Misty) Mattson. She is also survived by her grandchildren James (Tonya), Tessa, Nick, Brandi, Ashlee, Kaylee, Jaymee; great-grandchildren Savannah and Jake; brother John Mozak and sisters Grace and Nancy and special friends Ted and Lonnie Bingham. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son James Mattson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Washington City Cemetery in Washington, Utah. Arrangements by SereniCare, Funeral Directors, in St. George, Utah. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.serenicare.com.
