Julia Margaret Wilkes passed away March 1, 2009 at her home in Provo, Utah. She was born September 9, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah to Paul and Amelia Hoffman Rosenbaum.
She attended Lincoln Elementary and Box Elder High in Brigham City and the Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She married S. Glade Wilkes on September 17, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook. She shared her talents working as a school cafeteria cook. She loved gardening, clubs and social organizations, needle work and candy making. She enjoyed spending time with her family and serving others.
Julia is survived by her children Wendy Ann Wilkes, Brenda Lee Sutherland, Paula Kaye Robinson and Michael Glade Wilkes, her husband S. Glade Wilkes, her sister Skip Reach, and her grandchildren Emily Sutherland, Jamie Robinson, Daniel Sutherland, Erin Holt, Jeacey Robinson, Tyler Sutherland, and Taylor Robinson
Funeral Services will be held on March 5, 2009 at 11:00am at the Brigham City LDS Ward Chapel, 25 North 300 East. A viewing will be held one hour prior at the same location. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.serenicare.com
