Julian Ernesto Valdez was born on September 13th, 1949, to Eloisa and Delfino Valdez in Wagon Mound, New Mexico and passed away at 74 on September 8th. 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Julian, mostly known as “Ernie”, had 6 Brothers (Robert, Richard, Gilbert, Alfred, Delfino & Lonnie) and 1 sister (Olivia), 3 children (Gilbert, Sheree & Ernie) and 6 wonderful grandchildren. Predeceased by his mother and father, Eloisa & Delfino Valdez, granddaughter Aamayah, 2 brothers Alfred & Gilbert and daughter Sheena E.
Julian made friends everywhere he went, anyone that knew him had their own unique stories with him. He loved being a grandpa and very proud of all his kids and grandkids. Besides being a dad and grandpa, he was a hard worker to say the least, there was never a time where he wasn’t ready to work or help a friend or family in need.
Sweat and tears went into the many cars he had over the years. As a young adult, he worked in the mines and had his own window washing business in Colorado where he bragged about washing President Ford's house in Beaver Creek.
Always looking for the next adventure, cherishing every story he can tell. He valued and cared for family so deeply that everyone he knew had a special place in his heart as he left a special place in ours. A few quotes from his book of wisdom, “don’t hate me for what I do, just love me for who I am” and “I’m not good looking but I’m always looking good”. Personality that can never be replaced or forgotten. Julian will be remembered by the laughs and love he brought into our lives. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
