Julie Ann Jorgenson

Julie Ann Jorgenson was born on January 7, 1984 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Mary Jo Waters and Ron Jorgenson. Her family moved to Idaho Falls in 1990, where Julie attended school, graduating from Bonneville High School in 2002. Throughout the years, Julie was active in soccer, dance, basketball, and skiing, activities that developed her passion for fitness and health. She studied child development at the University of Utah, graduating in 2006, and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. While at school, she began her career at McCann Worldgroup, a Salt Lake City advertising agency, and quickly moved up the ladder to become a Senior Account Executive - a job she absolutely loved. She was married to Eric Richins on August 12, 2005. Julie was pursuing an MBA at Westminster College and was recently honored with a "Truth Well Told" award at McCann's SLC office. Julie's immediate survivors include her mother Mary Waters and step-dad Mike Waters, her sister Rebecca Jorgenson and niece Mya (who adored Julie's blond hair), and her three brothers: Colin, Austin, and Tyler, all of Idaho Falls, ID; her father, Ron R. Jorgenson of Boulder, CO; and her former husband, Eric Richins, of Bountiful, Utah. Julie lived her life with passion. She loved skiing, hiking, biking, and running in the Wasatch canyons with her friends and in the Colorado Rockies with her father. When she wasn't working or studying, she was shopping, dining, and traveling - and always giggling - with her amazing circle of friends. She cherished the moments spent with her aunts, uncles, cousins, and especially her grandparents and great-grandmother. Julie was a born again believer in Christ and loved her family with all of her heart. She was the best big sister ever, a loyal and loving daughter, and a generous and kind friend. She will be missed forever. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM (MST) Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Capital Church, 1010 E 700 S, Salt Lake City, UT. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. A memorial fund in Julie Ann Jorgenson's name has been established at the America First Credit Union.
