June Alberta Patten Fannin, age 90, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home March 19, 2010. Born June 03 1919 in Moore, Idaho to Maude Rebecca Kidd Patten and William Neuman Patten. June married Delbert E Fannin in the Logan Temple, January 18, 1938. He passed away August 3 1993.
June graduated from Blackfoot High School. She was a very faithful member of the LDS Church holding many Ward and Stake positions. She loved doing genealogy and did much of the family genealogy on the Patten side. Also blessed with the talent of painting and sketching, she drew and painted several pictures of Christ. One hung in the Meetinghouse on Chapel Street in Pocatello, Idaho for many years. She won awards at the South Eastern Idaho State Fair, and at the age of 80 drew and painted a picture of her mother that won a blue ribbon in the Salt Lake County Fair. She loved everything that was beautiful in nature. She was an angel of mercy who brought much comfort and peace to those sick and afflicted and to the unfortunate and needy. Many foster children were nurtured and loved in June and Delbert's home. June opened a bridal shop called "The Halo Shop" that enhanced the beauty of many bride's wedding day. Being a very meticulous organizer helped her in becoming a consultant for the L.D.S Church in designing the Meetinghouse Libraries.
June is survived by her 2 children, Leona Rowan and Gary (Lorna) Fannin, 8 grand children; James and (Wendi) Rowan, (Greg) and Laurie Eichert, John and (Miki) Rowan, Joseph and (Michelle) Rowan, (Scott) and Gerri Harper, Lynley Rowan, Jerrod Rowan, and Kelli Fannin, and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister Edna "K" Whiting and brother Sharon Vermont Patten, sister-in-law Margaret Patten, Della Johnson and brother-in-law Gar Hodges and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Wanda Duffin, Sivilla Hardy, Phoebe Hodges, Helen Grubbs, brothers; Grant Patten and William Neuman Patten, Jr., Step mother, Durell Austin and great grandson Gabriel Rowan.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 27 at 12:00 in the L.D.S. Building at 840 South 400 East, Springville, Utah. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pocatello, Idaho at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, March 29. Graveside Service will be at 12:00
