June Olson passed away October 13, 2007 from a broken heart, surrounded by those closest to her. She lived almost three months without Jack, the love of her life and missed him dearly. She is now reunited with him, to never be separated again. June was born August 16 1921 to Aisle and Verona Wheadon in South Jordan, Utah. She married her sweetheart Jack December 21 1952: they brought one another 55 years of happiness. June lived her life continuously giving to others. You could not visit her home without being offered coffee and served food and desserts. She was an exceptional cook. June lived an active life. She and Jack managed a bowling alley, motel and many campgrounds throughout Utah. She also drove a taxi during the depression and managed a diner. Her favorite activity was fishing which she was very good at. June was so full of love for her family she was always trying to give you anything she had, even when the Alzheimer's was advanced. She loved every one and will be greatly missed. June was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by her sister Jerry Patterson (Tom); sister Beth Winget; brother Bob Wheadon (Yvonne); son Mike Thrall (Lovenna); daughter Susie Larsen; brother-in-law Don and nieces Linda and Wendy. Grandchildren Scott Nygaard (Laura); Beckie Nielsen-Hanners (Larry Hanners); Janet Kohler; Debbie Thrall; Mark Thrall (Paula); Shari Thrall; Jamie Hale (Jeremy); Chris Thrall; Great-Granddaughter Saesha who stayed with her and helped her so much over the last couple of years and her sister Brandie; great-grandsons Steven and Liam, who brought her so much joy; 19 other great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren and her favorite little dog, Tiny. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents and her younger brother Dean Wheadon. At June and Jack's request there will be no funeral or viewing as they wished to be remembered as they were. Their wish was to be cremated and the ashes scattered in the high Uinta Mountains that they loved so much. Their request will be honored. Tiny will also be cremated and his ashes scattered with theirs also at their request. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to Ken, Rita, Bill and Wanda at Intermountain Health Care Hospice who once again went above and beyond and helped in so many different ways; they feel like part of the family. Also, thank you again to SereniCare Funeral Home for their exceptional and kind service. There are no words ...what can we say? At last her sweet soul winged its way To peace and freedom in the sky Where never again will she suffer or cry. It's all part of God's great plan ... Which remains a mystery to man. We cannot understand His ways Nor can we count our earthly days. But who are we to question and doubt? God knoweth well what He's about; He knew she longed to "go to sleep" Where only angels, a vigil keep. The pain of living grew too great No longer could she stay and wait; She did not want to leave you, dear, But she had finished her work down here. So she closed her eyes and when she awoke, These are the words the Master spoke ... "Welcome, dear child, you are Home at last, And now the burden of living is past." "There's work for you in My Kingdom, dear And you are needed and wanted here." So weep not, she has just gone on ahead, Don't think of her as being dead. She's out of sight for a little while, And we'll miss her touch and her smile, But we know she is safe in the home above Where there is nothing but Peace and Love. And, surely, we would not deny her peace ... And we're glad that she has found release. Think of her there as a soul that is free, And Home at last, where she wanted to be.
